Please review the following information to ensure that it conforms to your records as this information is being made available to the public. Makes/Models/Model Years: CAN-AM/RYKER/2019-2023
Mfr's Report Date: October 22, 2022
NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V-799
Components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING
Potential Number of Units Affected: Problem Description: 46,119

Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Ryker motorcycles. The position light and flasher electrical harnesses in the front fenders may loosen and rub on the tire, leading to a short circuit and resulting in an engine stall while driving. Consequence: An engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash. Remedy: Dealers will secure the two harnesses, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 30, 2022. Owners may contact Bombardier customer service at 1-888-272-9222. Notes: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov. We have received BRP's proposed owner notification letter and it is approved for distribution."

"The harnesses are not changed. BRP is changing the way they are secured
inside the fenders by adding tie-rap attachments at specific locations."
